5/6T Unicorn Hooded Sweater

I turned the Dino Sweater into a Unicorn Sweater. If you have any trouble reading my pattern, just let me know : )

Size: 5T/6T

Materials:
* Red Heart with Love “Lilac” 3 to 4 bundles of yarn – depending on how tight you crochet

   Red Heart with Love is no longer available in that color - Here is an equal

  
* Red Heart Sport – Pink – No color is stated on package 

    Equal to above

* Red Heart Super Saver – Bright Yellow

* Tapestry Needle

* H 5.0 mm Hook

* K 6.5 mm Hook

* 2 Stitch markers

Abbreviations:
MC=Magic Ring
ST= Stitch

Sweater Body:
Starting with the LILAC Color
Chain 74 loosely – Slip stitch to first chain – don’t twist
Round 1: SC around, sl st, chi 1 (74) *In the Video, I show how to work in the back bump*
Round 2-25: Hdc around, sl st, chi 1 (74)
BACK:
Row 1: Hdc in 36 sts, chi 1, turn (36)
Row 2 -18: Hdc across, chi 1, turn (36)
Fasten off & weave in ends

1st Shoulder:
Attach yarn, leaving 1 sts unworked
Row 1: Hdc 36 across, chi 1, turn (36)
Row 2-14: Hdc across, chi 1, turn (36)
Row 13: Hdc across 18 sts, chi 1, turn (18)
Row 14: Hdc2tog, Hdc in rest, chi 1, turn (17)
Row 15: Hdc to last 2 sts, Hdc2tog, chi 1, turn (16)
Row 16: Hdc2tog, Hdc in rest, chi 1, turn (15)
Row 17-23: Hdc across, chi 1, turn (15)
Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew seams together, Weave in ends

2nd Shoulder:
Attach yarn next to last stich work from row 1 of 1st shoulder
Repeat same as 1st shoulder starting from row13
**Slip stitch 7 stitches from armhole to neck on both sides**

Sleeves – Make 2:
Attach yarn at armpit of armhole
Round 1: Hdc around making 48 even sts, sl st, chi 1 (48)

Round 2: Hdc2tog, Hdc in the next 8 sts, Hdc2tog, Hdc in the next 8 sts, Hdc2tog, Hdc in the next 14 sts, Hdc2tog, Hdc in the
rest of sts, sl st, ch 1
Round 3: Repeat round 2, sl st, ch 1
Round 4: Repeat round 2, sl st, ch 1
Round 5: Hdc2tog, Hdc to center of shoulder seam and Hdc2tog, Hdc in rest of sts, sl st, chi 1
Round 6: Hdc around, sl st, ch 1
Round 7: Hdc2tog, Hdc to center of shoulder seam and Hdc2tog, Hdc in rest of sts, sl st, chi 1

Attach yarn at V part at front of sweater
Row 1: Hdc to shoulder seam (attach stitch marker, Hdc to next shoulder seam (attach stitch maker), Hdc to V part of
sweater, ch 1, turn
Row 2: Hdc to 1st stitch before marker, 2 Hdc in sts before marker, Hdc in marked sts (Move marker up), 2 hdc in st after
marker, Hdc to 1 stitch before 2nd stitch marker and repeat as previous, hdc in rest, ch 1, turn
Row 3: Hdc across (remember to move marker up), ch 1, turn
Row 4-11: Repeat last 2 rows 4 times each, ch 1, turn
Row 12-16: Hdc across, chi 1, turn
Row 17: Hdc to 2 sts before stitch marker, Hdc2tog, Hdc in marked stitch, hdc2tog, Hdc to 2 sts before 2nd stitch marker,

Fold those rounds in half and stitch closed, leaving a hole/ tube to weave in a braided yarn to make the cinch for hood

Front Pocket:
Ch 29
Row 1: SC across, ch 1, turn
Row 2-12: SC across, ch 1, turn
Row 13: Sc2tog, SC to last 2 sts, Sc2tog, ch 1, turn
Row 14-20: Repeat row 13, ch 1, turn
SC around pocket
*Sew top and bottom of pocket to sweater

Horn – Using H Hook
Make 8 SC in MC (8)
Round 2-4: Sc in each stitch, sl st, ch 1 (8)
Round 5: Sc in 3 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in 3 sts, 2 sc in next st, sl st, ch 1 (10)
Round 6-8: Sc in each stitch, sl st, ch 1 (10)
Round 9: Sc in 4 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in 4 sts, 2 sc in next st, sl st, ch 1 (12)

Round 10-12: Sc in each stitch, sl st, ch 1 (12)
Round 13: Sc in 5 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in 5 sts, 2 sc in next st, sl st, ch 1 (14)
Round 14-15: Sc in each stitch, sl st, ch 1 (14)
Round 16: Sc in 6 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in 6 sts, 2 sc in next st, sl st, ch 1 (16)

Fasten off leaving a long tail to attach onto sweater

Ears – Make 2 – Using H Hook

**Attach to Sides of hood a little behind horn**

Hood Cinch:
Cut 3 long enough pieces to around hood
Braid, tie knots at each end and weave through front of hood
