Giraffe Mug Cozy Free Crochet Pattern

Materials & Tools:
* (2) Buttons of your choice, I believe mine are 7/8”
* E Hook 3.5 mm
* G Hook 4.25 mm
* Yarn in Colors of your choice – I used Vanna’s Choice “Mustard for the main part”
                                                         Vanna’s Choice “Honey” for the spots
                                                        Light beige for Snout
                                                          Small bits of Black, Green & White for Eyes
* Tapestry needle

Stitches:
Sl st – Slip Stitch
St – Stitch
Ch - Chain
Sc – Single Crochet
Hdc – Half Double Crochet
Dc – Double Crochet

Mug Cozy Pattern: 
Chain 36
Row 1: Hdc in 2nd ch from hook and across, Ch 1n turn (35)
Row 2-9: Hdc across, ch 1, turn (35)
At end of ROW 9, chain 16, sl st to same st, sc down to 2nd to last st, Chain 16, sl st to same st
Attach buttons on opposite size

Snout: Light Beige
Chain 7
Round 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, Sc in the next 5 sts, 3 sc in last ch, now working on opposite side, sc in the next 5 sts,
make 2 sc in last st, sl st to 1st sc and ch 1
Row 2: 2 sc in same st, sc in the next 4, make 2 sc in 3 sts, make sc in next 4 sts, make 2 sc in last 2 sts, sl st and ch 1
Row 3: 2 sc in same st, sc in the next 6 sts, make 2 sc in next 4 sts, make sc in next 5 sts, make 2 sc in the next 3 sts, sl st
and fasten off
Make knots in holes of snout

Eyes (make 2):
Make a Magic circle
Round 1: Make 6 sc in Magic Circle, sl st to first st, ch 1 (6) Black
Round 2: Make 2 sc in each st, sl st in first st, ch 1 (12) Green
Round 3: Make 2 hdc in first st, 1 hdc in next st, repeat around, sl st to first st (18) White
Round 4: attach honey color – Ch 1, sc in 8 sts, chain 3, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sl st to bottom, sl st and attach to next
st, Chain 4, sl st in 2nd ch from hook and sl st down to bottom and sl st to same st
Tie off and leave tail of white to attach eyes to cozy
*Sew on closed eyes or you can make them however you would like

Ears (make 2):
Chain 12
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, Hdc in next 3 sts, make Dc in next 3 sts, make hdc in the next 3 sts, sc in last st (11)
*now working on opposite side, do same as above
Row 2: Sc in first st, make hdc in next 3 sts, make Dc in next 3 sts, make hdc in next 3 sts, sc in last st. (11)
Tie off and leave a tail long enough to attach wing to cozy

Horns: make 2
Make 8 Hdc in Magic Circle – do no join
Attach new color
Row 1: make Sc 3 evenly across
Row 2-6: Sc across, Ch 1, turn
Fasten off & weave in ends
Leave tail to attach to cozy

Spots: make 4 Using E Hook 
Make 8 Hdc in Magic Circle
Tie off & Weave in ends

You can sew them on, I hot glued mine on
