Tiny Apple Jar Cover Free Crochet Pattern

My mom eats these and she gave me a bunch of the glasses because she knows I love to up-cycle.
You can make them into lemons, pears, oranges, and pretty much any fruit you would like.

Materials & Tools:
* G 4.0mm Hook Joann's or Amazon 
*  Worsted Weight Yarn in Colors of your choice 

      Red Heart Super Saver or I Love This Yarn 
          I used Red, brown & green
* Tapestry needle 

      Joann's or Amazon 
* Googly Eyes (optional) 

       Joann's or Amazon 
* Black embroidery thread (optional) 

      Joann's or Amazon 

Stitches:
Mc – Magic Circle
Sl st – Slip Stitch
St – Stitch
Ch - Chain
Sc – Single Crochet
Hdc – Half Double Crochet

Cover Pattern: G Hook
Make 8 Sc in MC, sl st, ch 1 (8)
Round 2: make 2 Sc in each st, sl st, ch 1 (16)
Round 3: *Make Sc in 1st st, 2 Sc in next st*, repeat, sl st, ch 1 (24)
Round 4: *Make 1 Sc in 1st 2 sts, 2 Sc in next st*, repeat, sl st, ch 1 (32)
Round 5: *Make 1 Sc in 1st 3 sts, 2 Sc in next st*, repeat, sl st, ch 1 (40)

Round 6-15: Sc in each st, sl st, ch 1 (40)
Round 16: Hdc in each st, sl st, ch 1 (40
Tie off and weave in ends.

Stem:
Chain 6
Hdc in 2nd ch from hook and in the next 4 chains
Attach to top of apple

Leaf: Make 2
Chain 6
Sl st in 2nd ch from hook, Sc, Hdc, Sc, sl st in last ch, ch 1
*work on other side of chain
Sl st, Sc, Hdc, Sc, Sl st, sl st to fist st
Tie off and attach to apple
If you want, you can sew a mouth on and add googly eyes
You can add chocolates or paperclips
